He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed A. Liner and Iva J. Dodson; his wife Dixie Coe Liner; and his brothers, James C. Liner and Edward F. Dodson.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly L. (Terry Stansell), Nancy L. (Scott Cordell), Charles J. "Chuck" (Annette Liner) and Christopher C. (LeAnn Liner); his sisters, Barbara D. Parkinson and Jean D. Arrants; his sister-in-law Polly C. Liner; and also, Allison, Wayne Daniel, Aaron Stansell, Stephen, Shelby Stansell, Matthew, Sarah Cordell, Max Cordell, Madison Cordell, Hannah, Drew Patrick, Gabrielle Liner, Jason Melton, Hailey Melton, Mayson Liner, Emily Liner, Creed Liner and Ty Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Nourish One Child Program at Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1, Athens, TN 37371 or Tennessee Wesleyan University, in memory of Charles J. Liner.
