He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jones Carter of Athens; his children, Carolyn Carter, Tracy Carter and Randy Carter; his grandchildren, Randall Carter, Caleb Carter, Amanda Carter, Kim Andrus and Wesley Fairbanks (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Ava Fairbanks, Colby Fairbanks and Bailey Wallis.
