She was predeceased by: her parents, W. T. Hill and Cordie Hicks Hill; her husband Malcolm L. Black; and her sons, Kenneth and Steve Black.
She is survived by: her children, Cathey Rowland (Phil) of Chattanooga, Sam Black (Brenda) of Athens and Gary Black (Cindy) of Hendersonville, NC; her daughter-in-law Henrietta Black of Athens; and her sisters, Pearline Buckner of Danville, VA and Pauline Lowe of Hickory, NC.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
