He is survived by: his children, Eddie Hughes (Zelma), John Hughes (Vickie), Tommy Hughes (Karen), Paul Hughes (Tina), Terry Hughes and Carla Fields (Jason); his stepdaughter Cheri Choate (David); and his brother Johnny Hughes (Virginia). He is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
