He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Gladys Marie Raper Watson; and his brothers, Jimmy Watson, Larry Watson and Mike Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Morrow Watson of Athens; his children, Cherie Watson of Cleveland and Billy Ray Watson, Jr. of Athens; his grandson Matthew Watson; and his sisters, Judy Galyon of Athens, Bobbie Lingerfelt of Athens and Tenn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
