It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Ray Cannon (Ashland City, Tennessee), who passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Georgia Davis Cannon; his wife Shirley Howell Cannon; his daughter Melinda Newell; and his siblings, Judy Webb, Richard Don Cannon and Archie Wayne Cannon.
He is survived by: his son Mark Ray Cannon (Nancy); his grandchildren, William Bryant Newell, Derek Ray Cannon (Andrea) and Amanda Lynn Cannon; his great grandchild Carter Ray Cannon; his sisters, Katie Hudgens, Nancy Newland (Bruce), Melba Pardue, Joyce Evans, Betty Winters, Wanda Bates (Jack) and Janice Thomas (Rickey); and his sister-in-law Carol Fogg Cannon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, TN, or Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
