With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Jowayne Stone of Ashland City, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Stone; his sister Phyllis Stone Powers; and his aunt Ava Lyons Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Janie Stone (Legg); his daughters, Joanna and Marissa; his granddaughters, Jane Howse and Josie Stone; his adoptive children, Brian Howse, Svenja, Meghan, Kristy and Karla; his nieces, Sandi Tinsley (Eddie) and Christi Madewell (Brad); his nephew Tommy Varnell (Amanda); his cousin David "Skip" Robinson (Connie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Shellie, Jake, Abbie, Brady and Katherine; and his brothers, Daniel Jacobson (Kathy) and Jerry Drewry (Beverly).
