He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodson Ray and Audie Staggs Ray; and his siblings, Howard Ray, Paul Ray, Raymond Ray, Jimmy Ray, Billy Ray, Sammy Ray, Joyce Black and Edith Bradley.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Sue Ray; his children, Dale Ray (Brenda), Wanda Hunter (Young) and Pam Lee (Jeremy White); and his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Randy Johnson, Reece Hunter, Lara Hunter (Nick), Kelsey Lacy (Stephen), Harley Lee and Waylon Lee. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
