He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jones Sr. and Mary Kate Jones (Lepley); his wife Bessie "June" Jones; his daughter Renee Jones; and his siblings, Jim Jones, William "Buddy" Jones, Tommie Lee Blackwell and Marie Mayfield.

He is survived by: his children, Ricky Jones (Jennifer) and Carrie Emerton (Billy); and his grandchildren, Dylan Emerton, Ryland Emerton and Liam Pentecoste.
