He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ervin and Susie Kimery Ervin; and his siblings, C. K. Ervin and Mary Emilie Ervin Powell. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ervin (Herron); his son Ralph Ervin (Stephanie Mosley); his stepdaughters, Pamela Sexton (Bill) and Gina Suiter (Brad); his sisters, Nancy Powell and Susan Callis; his grandsons, Sean Ervin and Brett Ervin (Krista); his stepgrandchildren, Derek Suiter, Gabe Suiter, Ally Suiter and Joshua Sexton; and his great grandchildren, Dean Ervin and Dawson Suiter.
