She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Issac Stamps (Delmer Vaughn) of Sullivan, KY and Eunice Ovilla Peevyhouse Cannon; her former husband James Doc Brewington of Hendersonville, TN; her grandson Robert Bryan Parrish; her stepdaughter Doris Marie Guill (Dottie); her foster father Deo C Christianberry; and also, Hershel Cannon (Barbara) and Sarah Raines (Kenneth).
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Hampton (Marvin); her siblings, Marda Peek (Bill), Joe Stamps (Lena), Lois Cannon Sessions (Robert), Robert Cannon (Anna) and Margie Stamps; her aunt Geneva Peevyhouse Byrd; her great grandchildren, Gabriel Parrish and Chloe Parrish; her stepdaughter Marta McCollum (Debbie Vaughn); her stepgrandson Norman Robert Lance (Bobby); her granddaughter Parrish Rose Lance (Chicklet); her stepgreat-grandson Robert Jayce (Lance); and her pet Biscuit. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church (3216 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
