He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Alton Smith and Nancy Sue Warnack Smith; and his brother Charles Henry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dean Fulton Smith; his daughters, Carol Sue Sosh and Dana Jean Smith; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Ronald Smith and Melinda Hester (Mike); and his grandchildren, Kaylee Sosh, Allyson Sosh and Charley Jean Green.
