He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnston and Karleen Greer Johnston; his brother William "Johnny" Johnston Jr.; and his nephew William "Trey" Johnston III. He is survived by: his daughters, Kristen Smith (Darion) and Katelyn Willis; his brother Howard Dale Johnston (Barbara); his sister-in-law June Johnston; his grandchildren, Jaylen, Chyran, Aubrey of Noah, D. J., Rylee, Baylie and Ashten; and his great grandchild Myla.
