He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Pursley; his children, John Wayne Pursley (Glenda) and Donna Jewell Lenning; and his siblings, Simon Pursley, Willard Pursley, Carolyn Parker, Christine Newman and Mildred Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Linda Pursley (Johnson); his daughters, Tonya Pursley, Jeanette Ellis (Troy), Judy Campbell (Jesse) and Susan Pursley (Carl Whitworth); and his siblings, Willie (Brenda), Eugene Pursley (Ann Clara), Shirley Holt, Annie Hornburger and Ruby Newman. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
