He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Newell and Chapple Green Newell; his daughter Kimberly Jean Hindman; and his brother Jackie Ray Newell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jean Bassham Newell; his sons, Tony Newell, Keith Newell (Angela) and Mitchell Newell (Patsy); and his grandchildren, Chapple Arnold, Bryant Newell, Caleb Newell, Jeremy Hindman, Josh Hindman, Justin Newell, Luke Newell and Lydia Newell. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
