He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Woodson Ray and Audie Mae Ray (Staggs); and his siblings, Billy Ray, Paul Ray, Jimmy Ray, Howard Ray, Raymond Ray Hudgens and Edith Bradley.

He is survived by: his siblings, Travis Neil Ray and Joyce Black (Earl).
