He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Smith and Mae Smith; his sibling Lala Smiley; and his wife Ruth Marie Dailey. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Smith of Moberly and Velma Casebolt of Huntsville, Missouri.; his children, William Robert, Bonnie Lou, Carol Bennett (Tim) and Lori Maupin (Trent); his grandchildren, Ryan Maupin (Crystal), Meridith Axt (Jason), Kyle Maupin, Carissa Fox (Wes), Rachel Huck (Elliot), Tyler Maupin (Kelsie) and Jonathan Bennett (Bethann); and his great grandchildren, Caelum Maupin, Lachlan Maupin, Nathaniel Axt, Ezekiel Axt, Titus Axt, Anina Axt, Maliyah Fox, Marlee Fox, Jayce Fox, McKenna Fox, Liam Fox, Reuben Bennett, Lorien Bennett and Ruth Bennett.
