He is survived by: his wife Kay Gibson Hopwood; his children, Mary Jo Davenport (Bobby), Corey, Jimmy (Billie Ballard), Tricia Hopwood Ludin (Jeremy Johnson) and Regina Hopwood Cardwell (Kevin); and his siblings, Jean Hopwood, Judy Johnson, Patsy Slayden, Sherrie Campbell (Mark), Tommy Hopwood (Sharon), Johnny Hopwood, Frankie Hopwood (Nancy), Larry Hopwood (Tracey) and Jerry Hopwood. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
