He was predeceased by: his parents, James Allen Bradford Simpkins and Thelma Frances Simpkins (Graham); and his siblings, Steve Allen Simpkins, Gary Walter Simpkins, Edna Simpkins Beach and Joann Simpkins.
He is survived by: his son Donald Wayne Simpkins, Jr. (Tabitha); his sister Beverly Thompson (Rick); and his grandchildren, Carson Watts and Keirsten Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cheatham County Funeral Home (117 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
