It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lee Kemp Jr. of Ashland City, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 25, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kemp and Ruth Roy Kemp; his brother Tommy Kemp; his grandson John Lee Melton; and his brother-in-law Johnny Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Jenkins Kemp; his daughters, Valerie Kemp, Melinda Ruffin (Scott) and Joanna Melton (John); his grandchildren, Jackson Kemp, Greyson, Dylan Ruffin, Mary Ella, Naomi and Eliza Melton; his mother-in-law Mary Grey Jenkins; his sister-in-law Pam Jenkins; his aunts, Jean Kemp and Nancy Outlaw; and his uncle Hubert Cummins.
Face masks will be required and social distancing will be in place.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cheatham County Habitat for Humanity or Center House Nashville, a recovery home sponsored by First Church Nashville.
