He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Gene Simmons and Annie Margaret Brizendine Simmons; his siblings, Hugh Gene Simmons, Jr., Frank Suell Simmons, James Hardin Simmons, Jerry Wendell Simmons and Shirley Sue Simmons Lawrence; his brother-in-law Roger Barnicle; his nephew Tommy Newman; and his pet Pete.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bracey Simmons; and his siblings, Murray Glenn Simmons, Patricia Ann Simmons Barnicle and Gayle Simmons Adams (Archie).
