He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Dozier and Elizabeth Hooper Dozier; his wife Mary Ellen Dozier; his son Rex Dozier; and his siblings, Raymond Dozier, Marci Selph, Betty Solomon and Billye Hampton.

He is survived by: his son Ray Dozier (Jenifer). He is also survived by 1 granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren.
