He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest D. Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Bennett; his wife Rose Mae Brown; his daughter Cathy; and his siblings, Ernest Jr., Floyd, Martha Jane, Frank, Bill and Dean.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Austin Amonette, Blythe Sands, Jess Amonette and Sky Tate; his great grandchildren, Ariel Birdwell, Carter Batsuk, Walker Tate, Carson Tate, Clare Amonette, Jess Amonette Jr., LilyRose Tate, Hadley Tate, Brooke Amonette and Scarlett Tate; and his great great grandchild Briar Rose Birdwell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Williamson Memorial Gardens (3009 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064).
Memorials may be given to Shriners' Hospital for Children or American Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Animals ASPCA.
