He is survived by: his wife Mitsi Whitener; his sons, Matthew Jason Whitener and Mark Edward Whitener; and his siblings, Robert Whitener, Ralph Whitener, John A Whitener, Lynn Whitener, Morris Whitener, Linda Whitener and Connie Kidd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
