He was predeceased by: his parents, William Zachary Ewing Sr. and Marian Adelaide Ewing; and his siblings, Donzaleigh Regina McCord, Daryle Dowell Sr. and William Z. Ewing Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ewing; his children, Tyreca Ewing, Lakesha Cortner, Reginald Woods (Tracey), Terrance Nicholson (Dareka) and Tyrone Ewing Jr. (Angel); his grandchildren, Ayanna Pratt (Dominic), Tyreca "Goon Goon" Cortner, Jaeneisha Cortner, Harmoni Woods, Kailee Bush, Keimon Bush and Tyrone Ewing III; his great grandchildren, Noah and Naomi Pratt; his aunt Betty Ann Thompson; and his uncle James Leon Dowell (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
