She was predeceased by: her husband Cordell Smith, Jr.; her parents, Lorene Mullins Garvin and Jerry Baxter Garvin; her siblings, Dorothy McClendon and William "Pete" Garvin; and her nephew Michael Anthony Garvin.
She is survived by: her son David Smith; and her sisters, Avo Adams and Ova Powers.
