It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phoebe Bowne Hughes of Antioch, Tennessee, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on July 27, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas O. Bowne and Lillian Inez Bowne; her husband Verner Hughes "Buddy"; and her brothers, Douglas Bowne and Jerry Faircloth.

She is survived by: her son Ross; and her brothers, Ed Bowne and Cornelius Bowne (Nita Bowne).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give to St. Jude in her memory.
