He is survived by: his wife Carol Efird; his children, Gene Efird, Jr. (Nina), Joel Efird (Carla) and Lynn Hutson (Bill); his grandchildren, Joel Efird, Jr. (Casey), Courtney Efird, Charlotte Brinkley (Matt), Marianne Kimbrough (Robert), Callie London (Nick) and Gene Efird (Haley); his great grandchildren, Joel Efird, III, Brooklynn Efird, Emersyn Efird, Madeline Kimbrough, Lincoln London, Aubry Efird and Hannah Kimbrough; and his sisters, Linda King and Kay Goforth.
