Eileen Cardwell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen Cardwell (Antioch, Tennessee), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Moore and Jane Moore; her siblings, Jane Kilbride and Franklin Moore, Jr.; and her grandsons, Patrick Curtis and Craig DeBord.

She is survived by: her husband Clayton Cardwell; her brother Michael Moore (Sue); her children, Paul Curtis, Laura DeBord, Edward Curtis (Tiffany), Hank Cardwell (Lauren) and Taft Cardwell (Jill); her stepchildren, Michael Cardwell, Anna Hendrixson (Darbie) and Brandon Cardwell (Meegan); her grandchildren, Ashley Jones (Steven), Daniel DeBord (Taylor), Samantha Cardwell Clement (Stephen), McKenzie Curtis, Tate Curtis, Lottie Cardwell, Lem Cardwell, Clayton Cardwell, Omri Cardwell, Mary Cardwell, Nicks Hasley (Christine), Rachel Hasley (Tyler), Maddie Hasley, Hutch Cardwell, Cooper Cardwell and Gentry Cardwell; and her great grandchildren, Brayden Curtis, Nathaniel Curtis, Jude Jones, Rylee Carter, Daylon DeBord, Reilly Mitchem and Maddalie Mitchem.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen's memory to GiGi's Playhouse Nashville (https://gigisplayhouse.org), a nonprofit that provides educational and therapeutic programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
