With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derek Ryan Toews of Antioch, Tennessee, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 36. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Derek Ryan had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Derek Ryan may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth Toews and Vicki Toews; his sister Rayna Brandt (Timothy); his nieces and nephews, Mikhail, Tessa and Deklan; and his sister Jaclyn MacGregor (Shane).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Hill Memorial Park (5196 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
