He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Barnhart and Hazel Barnhart; and his brothers, Claude, Lawrence and Dalton Barnhart.

He is survived by: his daughter Debra Barnhart of Andersonville, TN. He is also survived by nieces, nephew and many cousins.
