He was predeceased by: his wife Mable Flatford (Hayes); his parents, William David and Edna Flatford (Rutherford); his siblings, Donnie Flatford, J. C. Flatford, Kenny Flatford, Glen Flatford, Alonzo Flatford, Agnes Healey and Sharon Marshall Cooper; and his stepson Donald Norton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Weaver of Clinton, Faye Morris of Indiana, Vicky Loop of Andersonville and Bronis Mallicoat of Knoxville; his stepchildren, Clifford and Cheryl Norton; his stepgrandsons, Alex Norton and Andy Norton; and his nephew Johnny Flatford.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hines Creek Church Cemetery (892 Hinds Creek Rd, Maynardville, TN 37807).
