He was predeceased by: his parents, Esco Stooksbury and Lucy Henegar Stooksbury. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Jane Turpin Stooksbury; his sons, Rob Stooksbury (Sharon) and Danny Stooksbury (Farrah); his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Braxton Kirk), Pippa Stooksbury, Dylan Stooksbury, Jackson Stooksbury and Annalia Stooksbury; and his siblings, Anthony (Vicki Stooksbury) and Angelisa (Gary Pyle). He is also survived by many friends and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shiners Hospital, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Andersonville United Methodist Church.
