He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson "Bid" Strong and Rosa Bullock Strong; and his brother-in-law Judge Jennings Meredith. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughter Janet Christopher (David); his sister Phyliss Meredith; his grandson Darren Foust (Heather); and his great grandchildren, Cole and Carter Foust.
