He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ted Smith (Becky Goins) and Michelle Smith of Seymour, TN.; his uncles, Ralph Belch of Maryville, TN and Marvin Goins of Andersonville, TN.; his cousins, Andrea Norton, Anita O'Reilly, Brandon Belch, Randy Martin, Lisa Wells and Trevenia Jones; and his close friends, Barbara Stephens, Mike Bayless, Randy Clark, Michelle Hughes, Renee Southerland, Carol Carpenter, Chestine, Sue "Wifey" Dixon and Sharon Kee.

“We were one of the thousands who toured on bus trips where Barry drove the bus. He was the kindest and most helpful gentleman. He always went out of his way to help and make our trip enjoyable and never seemed anxious even when we as passengers were running late. He was always at the steps of the bus when passengers were unloading, giving us extended hand of support. He always had a smile and a kind word. We will miss you Barry. Rest in peace. Sue and David Humble”
