He is survived by: his wife Ellen Smartt; his daughter Trina; his pets, Brown, Wendy Norris (Jimmy) and Sarah Smartt; his siblings, Imogene Knight (late Hootie) and Huston Smartt (Barbara); his grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson, Brandy Payne (Stefan), Whitney Rowland (Cody), Megan Norris (Martin McGee), Courtney Graham (TJ), Brianna Anderson (Cody), Caleb Smartt (Alissa) and Cole Smartt (Kaylie); his great grandchildren, Devin (Tyra), Jacy, Trace, Zephan, Gabe, Isaac, Isaiah of Michael, CJ, Weslynn, Warner, Addisen, Paige, Jaiden, Bryson, Logan, Allie, Carter, Cayce, Charleigh, Jameison and Zaylee; and his great great grandchildren, Blayton and Tyleigh.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home (182 Fitchtown Rd, Altamont, TN 37301). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at the Little Johnny Cemetery.
