It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Tyler Tate of Altamont, Tennessee, who passed away on November 17, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buford Tate and Sarah Scott Tate; his siblings, Linuel, Richard, Sherman Tate, Jean Fults and Ruth McGee; his former wife Carrie Lou Wanamaker Tate; and his siblings, David Tate (Kathy), Annie Mae King and Jewel Akins (Ronnie). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
