It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Merlin Turner (Altamont, Tennessee), who passed away on February 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie McCormick Turner. He is survived by: his parent Warner Turner; his siblings, Mann Jr., Bob Turner, Mae Thomas, Anita Hill and Shirley Fitch; his daughters, Cindy and Tena Layne; the mother of his children Joyce Fay Layne; and his children, Carl, Bobby, Danny Layne, Teresa Cox, Lisa Layne and Michelle Layne. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
