She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Whitt and Beatrice Elizabeth Langford Whitt; her husband Charles Danny "Dan" Bess; her daughter Wendy Dawn Bess; and her siblings, Judy Bess, Jan Mainord, Tommy and Johnny Whitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Lee (Sheila), David Shawn, Terry, Neal and Jacob Bess; and her sister Connie Walker. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
