He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buford Tate Sr. and Sarah Scott Tate; his daughter Tammy Lynn Richardson; his siblings, Ruth McGee, Jean Fults, Sherman and Richard Tate; his granddaughter Erica Seagroves; his wife Mildred Smartt Tate; his children, Brian Tate (Amanda Debord), Sherry Seagroves and Melinda Killian; and his siblings, David Tate (Kathy), Phillp Tate, Annie Mae King and Jewell Akins (Ronnie). He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
