He is survived by: his wife Anna Grace McDonald Melton; his children, Heather Melton and Michael Shane Melton (Melissa); his son-in-law Ray Hammock; his siblings, Sam Melton, Bea Hamilton, Donna Silbert and Linda Sells; his grandchildren, Megan Herren, Adrienne Hammock, Savannah Hammock and Azekial Melton; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Hammock, Ezra Herren, Ellie, Chloe, Jaxson Booher, Dakota Smith and Clayton White.
