He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Gernt and Willie Gernt. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Gernt; his daughters, Laquita Sandman and Rebecca Day; his sons-in-law, Scott Sandman and Jerry Day; and his grandchildren, Erynn Grace, Madeline, Abigail Sandman, Jacob Day (Marley), Ryleigh Matthews (Byron), Rachel Day and Reece Day.
