We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2025, at the age of 92, Jerry Arlen Cripps of Alexandria, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Jerry may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Cripps and Gladys Herdon Cripps Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Annette Cripps of Alexandria; his nieces, Martha Bass (Pam) of Alexandria, Jeanie Pack (Jerry) of McMinnville and Ramona Fuson of Dowelltown; his nephew Benjamin Cripps; and his brother Robert Cripps (Faye) of Mt. Juliet. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Salem Cemetery.
In addition to flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mr. Cripps.
