Bettye Jo Hackett Manning Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2025, at the age of 94, Bettye Jo Hackett Manning of Alexandria, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Campbell Paris and Levie Ballinger Paris; her former spouse L. D. Hackett; her husband Ralph Manning; and her siblings, James Estes Paris (Laura), Alton Paris (Evelyn), Varena Thompson (L. V.) and Virginia Oakley (Bob).
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, James Paris (Corrine), Brownie Paris (Blackie), Jeff Paris (Sherry), Rebecca Tolbert (Noel), Brenda Prichard (Charles), Janice Hensley (Don), Nancy Smith (Fred), Ginabeth Young (Sam) and Renee Wisdom (Ray); and also, Lisa Martin, Gail Thompson, Marie Croslin and Valerie Gillespie. She is also survived by 18 great nephews, 11 great nieces, and a multitude of great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the West Main Baptist Church (204 W Main St, Alexandria, TN 37012).
The family requests memorials be made to the Hemophilia and Blood Disorder Foundation at Monroe Carell Children's Hospital in memory of Milton Hackett.
