She was predeceased by: her husband G. W. Coatney; her parents, Dewey Carnes and Zella Carnes; her son Steve Coatney; and her daughter-in-law Linda Coatney.

She is survived by: her sister Edith Walker (Ed); her son Tommy Coatney; her grandchildren, Mandy Parkerson (Paul), Tiffany Labout, Derek Coatney (Danielle) and Ashley Coatney; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Stephen, Bentley Labout, Colin, Clay Coatney, Tyleigh Powers, Lydia, Claire and Ross Parkerson.
