Kevin Christopher Cooper Obituary
Kevin Christopher Cooper May 26, 1993 — May 9, 2024 Maryville Kevin Christopher Cooper, age 30, of Alcoa passed away suddenly on Thursday May 9, 2024. He was a 2011 graduate of Alcoa High School. He was a proud US Navy veteran, where he attained the rank of MM3 Sea Warfare. He served on the USS Bon Homme Richard LPH 6. After being honorably discharged, he graduated (with honors) from UTI Diesel Mechanic School in Orlando, Florida. He loved working on ANY motor or anything mechanical since he was a child. At a very young age he was the neighborhood "welcome wagon". Kevin never met a stranger. He was a fierce friend and a protector of anyone he believed needed it. He helped anyone who asked and had a story for every occasion. He loved deer hunting and had been in the woods since he was 3 years old. His favorite hunting spot was in Waverly, Tn. His solace was the forest. He killed many bucks there and shared dear meat and recipes with everyone. He was wise beyond his years with an empathetic nature and caring spirit.
Kevins greatest joy was his family. He married his soulmate Lane almost 7 years ago. He was blessed to have Danica Heron (daughter) & Cameron Heron (son) as bonus blessings. They welcomed Waylon Kane Cooper (son) into the world March 2018. He was his daddy's sidekick and partner in crime. No words can describe the love he shared with them.
He was preceded in death by grandparents- Sue Chambers, Zelma & Dethroe (ED) Chambers, John & Billie Frank, Carl & Emma Cooper, Jim & Beverly Cooper. Uncles Eddie Chambers & Billy Harmon.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents Bud & Tracey Cooper, his sister Victoria Cooper & partner Steven Phillips, sister/cousin Sofie Harmon & Brandon Roberts, BFF/brother Eddie & Becca Richardson. Grandfather Larry Trent Chambers, Grandmother Lucinda Coffey. Sister in love Ashley Giasson. In laws Freddy & Lee Morgan. Cousins Dustin Chambers, Autumn & Jonathan Doster, Summer Chambers, Russell Chambers, Anthony Campo, Deanna Campo, Allie Campo. Uncle Van Bubel, Aunt Carol Bubel, Aunt Ginger Campo, and Uncle Bob Campo. Nephew Gavin and niece Harper. Countless friends and Navy family too numerous to list.
Kevin's "Going Home Shindig" will be on Sunday May 19, 2024 from 4pm-6pm at Alcoa High School in the competition gym (basketball). Services to follow by lifelong friend Daniel Cline. He will be cremated and his ashes will be spread at the places he loved best. His family is in the process of establishing a Memorial Fund for his wife and children. It will be posted on social media when it is completed. The family wants to thank everyone for the outpouring of unconditional love and support. Words will never be enough to express our gratitude.
