He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sisters, Anita Rubin of New York and Helene Bender of New York; his children, Doug Barnard of North Carolina, Phylis Baldwin of Tennessee, Richard Kush (Jennifer) of New Mexico, Kimberly Kush (Jack) of New Mexico, Quaite Kush (Amy) of New Mexico, Nana Kush of New Mexico, Kira Kush of New Mexico, Eva Kush of New Mexico, Grant Kush of New Mexico, Lilly Kush of New Mexico, James Kush of New Mexico, Charlie Kush of New Mexico and Cindy Kush of New Mexico; his friends, Hannah Warth and Guy Smoak; and his wife Katy.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Honor Air Knoxville to help other veterans, such as John, make a "last hurrah" trip to our nation's capital, to visit their memorials, just like he did on flight #5 in 2009.
