He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jansen Dial; his son James L. Dial; his parents, LeRoy Dial and Laura Phelps Dial; and his siblings, Nelson, William Dial and Pearl Dial.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Sue Morton, David Dial (Kathy) and Penny Dial; and his daughter-in-law Judy Dial. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
