She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Scates and Rosa Scates; her siblings, Junior, Howard, Douglas, Houston Scates and Lillian Moore; and her great grandchild William Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Blalock (Larry) and Patti Sharpin; her grandchildren, Kristie Cook, Tina Pearson and Larry Blalock, Jr.; and her siblings, Nellie Thomas, Odes Scates and Donald Scates.
