He was predeceased by: his wife Lorain Thurman; his parents, Victor Thurman and Imogene Thurman; and his siblings, Frank Thurman, Sue Hill, Evelyn Jones and Ann Pendleton.
He is survived by: his children, Rick (Karen Thurman), Dennis (Janet Thurman) and Sandra; his son-in-law Bob Hollifield; his grandchildren, Heather (Michael Bradburn), Andrew (Jill Thurman), Megan (Brandon Barnes), Jacob Thurman, Hannah (Tyler McLean), Matthew (Emily Hollifield) and Sarah Thurman; and his great grandchildren, Brenton, Thatcher, Landry, Solah, McKinley, Teagan and Hudson.
